Hemingway Daiquiri

The Hemingway Daiquiri is one of the truly great citrus forward classic cocktails, written in honor of one of the world’s great bon vivants, Ernest Hemingway. 

Havana’s El Floridita bar is probably the most iconic place to drink a Daiquiri in the world, and if you get the chance we would highly recommend it.   • 60 ml DRY RUM CUBAN STYLE (3 parts)
  • 10 ml MARASCHINO LIQUEUR (1/2 part)
  • 30 ml FRESH PINK GRAPEFRUIT JUICE (1 1/2 parts)
  • 1 LIME WEDGE (1/6 Whole Lime)

How to make it

  • 1 - Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker
  • 2 - Cut a wedge of lime, the size will depend how dry a rum you get your hands on, how sweet your grapefruit is, how big your lime is We’d recommend ⅙ but you might want as much as a ¼
  • 3 - Squeeze in the wedge of lime and drop it into the shaker too then fill shaker with ice and shake hard
  • 4 - Fine strain into a cocktail glass
  • 5 - Garnish and serve
