London Spritz

Our London Spritz is a simple and refreshing London Dry Gin inspired Spritz recipe that we originally wrote for Beefeater gin back in the day. Back then, the Aperol Spritz had taken the world by storm for the past few summers, and the brand was looking for a gin based equivalent for people to easily make at home. So, we got to work!

Being the last of the original classic London gins still made in central London, we wanted there to be a classic London Dry Gin feel to the recipe. On the other hand it still needed to be a credible Spritz recipe, a wholly Italian creation. Read More

Ingredients

  • 40 ml GIN (2 parts)
  • 20 ml APEROL (1 part)
  • 60 ml TONIC WATER (3 parts)
  • 100 ml PROSECCO / SPARKLING WINE (5 parts)
  • 1 ORANGE WHEEL
Pin Recipe

How to make it

  • 1 - Pour all ingredients into your glass. Add the tonic water and prosecco gently so as to lose as little carbonation as possible.
  • 2 - Add a fresh wheel of orange to the glass along with the ingredients. This isn’t just a garnish, the hint of fresh orange from the wheel is key to the fresh feel of this drink.
  • 3 - Fill the glass with ice and gently manoeuvre the wheel of orange with a spoon or stirrer to the side of the glass to look attractive.
