Pegu Club

The Pegu Club was created in the British officer’s club of the same name, that was founded in 1871 in what was Burma (now Myanmar). It was served as the club’s signature cocktail to British officials and businessmen.

The drink makes its cocktail book debut in Harry MacElhone’s influential 1922 book, Harry’s ABC of Mixing Cocktails, ensuring the Pegu Club’s place in cocktail history. Read More

 

Ingredients 

  • 45 ml GIN (1 1/2 parts)
  • 15 ml ORANGE CURACAO (1/2 part)
  • 15 ml LIME JUICE (1/2 part)
  • 1 Dash ANGOSTURA BITTERS
  • 1 Dash ORANGE BITTERS

  • 1 – Add all ingredients to a shaker
  • 2 – Fill the shaker with ice and shake
  • 3 – Strain into a cocktail glass
  • 4 – Garnish and serve
