The Pegu Club was created in the British officer’s club of the same name, that was founded in 1871 in what was Burma (now Myanmar). It was served as the club’s signature cocktail to British officials and businessmen.

If you enjoy a Daiquiri or a Gimlet, then this is a drink you must try. Crisp and dry with great complexity, it’s a slightly less well known classic cocktail that you should definitely have in your repertoire.
There are a few historical versions of the recipe, but we think this gives the drink a perfect balance of flavour, sweetness and acidity.
Ingredients
- 45 ml GIN (1 1/2 parts)
- 15 ml ORANGE CURACAO (1/2 part)
- 15 ml LIME JUICE (1/2 part)
- 1 Dash ANGOSTURA BITTERS
- 1 Dash ORANGE BITTERS

How to make it
- 1 – Add all ingredients to a shaker
- 2 – Fill the shaker with ice and shake
- 3 – Strain into a cocktail glass
- 4 – Garnish and serve
