Penicillin

The Penicillin is a modern classic created by Sam Ross in New York sometime in the mid 2000s. It’s a take on the sour formula of: spirit, citrus and sugar.

What else?

How to make it

  • 1 – Firstly, you need a Honey Ginger Syrup. There’s a number of different ways to make this. Our preferred (and the simplest) method is to mix equal amounts of honey and ginger juice together. Simple and delicious. Combine together and store in the fridge until needed.
To get ginger juice you can either:
    – Grate then squeeze fresh ginger through a sieve or cheesecloth.
    – Use a juicer.
    – Simply buy a good quality ginger shot from…well…virtually anywhere these days!
  • 2 – Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake.
  • 3 – Strain into a lowball glass then fill with ice.
  • 4 – Garnish and serve.
