You can’t make a Dry Martini with just any agave spirit. You need something smooth, complex and balanced. Bacanora, the agave distillate from the region of Sonora, is just that style. Killinga Bacanora’s soft creaminess and complex minerality has more in common with Gin than you might imagine! Garnish with a twist of lemon if you want to hang on to some degree of tradition, but we’d recommend the refreshing savoury notes of a cucumber ribbon. Read More
The Dry Martini was originally made with Gin and Dry Vermouth. Then along came Vodka and some people preferred it, while others felt like a Martini should still be Gin, not Vodka and certainly not the mixture of Gin and Vodka that Bond drinks in his Vesper Martini! Now to really upset the purists we have an Agave spirit taking the place of Gin in a Dry Martini.
