
Once the sun starts warming things up in Spain, the Tinto de Verano starts flowing. Of course, every household has their own secret touch that makes it the best, but one thing is certain the Tinto de Verano is a low ABV game changer. It’s also very easy to make: red wine, lemon soda or sparkling water, a slice of lemon and orange and that’s it.

In Spain the drink is usually served with some amount of sugar, either by using a lemon soda, or a slightly sweetened sparkling water, such as ‘La Casera’. However, sweetness comes down to your personal preference. Some wines will feel like they need a little more sweetness, while others will not. So, trust your palate and add sugar as you need, or use a sweetened soda of course.
Ingredients
- 90 ml RED WINE (1 part)
- 90 ml SPARKLING WATER or LEMON SODA (1 part)
- 1 ORANGE WHEEL
- 1 LEMON WHEEL

How to make it
- 1 – Add ingredients to a wine glass or Highball.
- 2 – Fill with cubed Ice above the level of the liquid.
- 3 – Slide in a wheel of lemon and a slice of orange, then serve.
