Tasting Notes

On the Nose: Juniper, coriander and angelica root in front with developing layers of citrus, jasmine, and hints of vanilla in the back. Bright and aromatic.

Front of Palate: Light sweetness on tip of the tongue. Gentle introduction of the botanicals to follow.  Notes of orris and angelica roots.

Mid–Palate: Excellent mid–palate structure. Prominent mid–palate juniper and full aroma on top palate. Citrus oils excite the sides, the tongue stays dry yet animated.

Finish: Long, lingering finish of grapefruit and juniper with a balance of floral notes.

What we say about Fords Gin

Fords is a gin from the stable of classic London Dry gin. This is not surprising as founder, and namesake of the brand Simon Ford, became an expert in the category working for many years with iconic gins. When you taste Fords, you can really taste that extensive experience coming through, and it sits comfortably in the list of great classic style gins.

Fords Gin’s strength, like any great classic gin, comes from its balance of botanicals. It gives the gin great complexity and smoothness, perfect for Martinis, whilst also making it very easy to work with in your favorite gin cocktails.

For all these reasons, plus the fact that the bottle was created by a hivemind of the best bartenders from around the world, Fords Gin has a place amongst our list of recommended classic style gins.
